Greetings everyone!

All CAD Northwest had a great turnout for their Walk In the Cloud show here in Meridian. We had Autodesk AEs Sachlene Singh and David Moore-Sargent do a presentation on PLM 360. Also, Richard Lasater from Smart Geometrics did a presentation on High Definition Laser Scanning. We really appreciate their willingness to participate in our event.

We have some web casts coming up in the last couple months of the year. We will post a schedule at a later date. We also have 4 new videos on our Youtube channel! Please go over there and check them out.

All CAD Northwest is also very happy to announce the addition of Aaron Tooley to our sales team. Aaron has a diverse background in sales and we are looking forward to his success.

And the Winner is ...

If I were to assign an award to the answer I give most often to the question, "My AutoCAD was working fine before but now my _________ command doesn't work anymore. What happened?"
And the winner is PICKFIRST!
90% of the time (an unscientifically derived statistic) the PICKFIRST variable has become unset.
If suddenly commands are not working the way they always have before. Simply type PICKFIRST at the command prompt. Hit ENTER and type 1 to turn it on.

And the BEST is ...

As I am interacting with clients regarding their workflows and our production support services the question of software inevitably comes up and which is best. It is nearly impossible to answer this question because best is at best a subjective determination. I usually reply with the question, “What is the best full-size pickup? Ford or Chevy? Or Dodge?”. You see my point.
I have been able to choose any tool I determined was best for my consulting business. Some people work where that decision is made by another person and other factors enter into the decision such as legacy data and systems or alignment with suppliers systems, etc. Without question the Autodesk suite of products has been the platform of choice for me based on the fact that my business crosses all disciplines and nobody else comes close to being able to address this aspect of business.
It is always nice to come across objective data comparing competing systems. I saw the following link on TenLinks recently and it is worthwhile information when choosing the best platform. People reading the report will take from it what they will.
